Even though it sounds controversial, no executive team has ever pushed back to me when I said it to them.
Because deep down we all know it’s true.
Teams don't wake up excited about dashboards or strategies.
They come to work for connection. For meaning. To make a difference – even a small one.
Yet as leaders, we often act as if the opposite is true.
We spend 90% of our time crafting strategies and plans, and then wonder why everyone isn’t as excited about them as we are.
Yet without that excitement - without Resonance - any transformation is just an item on the endless to do list.
So whenever I launch a new initiative or project, I’ve learned to ask myself:
What would make someone actually care about my strategy? My KPI?
Not understand it. Not comply with it. Care about it.
Because unless a transformation Resonates with what gets people out of bed, it's just another PowerPoint gathering dust.
